Tackle Security Challenges with CrowdStrike and Dell Technologies
- Cloud-delivered protection against all threat vectors, not just malware
- No reboots, signature updates or fine-tuning required
- The industry’s most secure commercial PCs, establishing device trust from the get-go
Experience how the combined power of Dell and the CrowdStrike Falcon platform reduce the attack surface of your fleet with a free 15-Day Trial.
Free antivirus only spots known threats. CrowdStrike goes deeper.
You get what you pay for — that goes for free antivirus, too. A free antivirus solution included on your systems may seem like enough protection from business-ending attacks like ransomware, malware, and phishing. Unfortunately, free antivirus is not as simple as it seems, and the risks outweigh the benefits.
When it comes to protecting your business, why take
chances?
Most free antivirus tools use an older, legacy approach to cyber threats. Legacy antivirus may rely on strategies that slow down devices, while not being able to adapt to sophisticated cyber attacks. CrowdStrike Falcon uses machine-learning, AI, and 24/7 monitoring to keep devices protected from threats that are known, unknown, weak, sophisticated and everything in between.

What to expect
You’ll have 15 days to try CrowdStrike Falcon for free. Use these three steps to get your trial started on the right track.

Get access. Allow up to 24 hours for your request to be processed. Then, you will receive an email from [email protected] to activate your account. Log in and choose between a simplified Main View or a technical view of the Falcon platform. Main View provides a simplified onboarding experience and interface, perfect for non-technical users. A more in-depth, technical view can be accessed anywhere on the left-hand menu outside of Main View.

Install the Falcon sensor. The intuitive Main View interface simplifies the sensor installation process, so you can quickly and easily protect your devices. There’s no need to reinstall the sensor as long as your account is active. After the sensor installation is complete, Main View displays a badge so you can easily verify that you’re protected.

Test additional modules. Your trial begins with the Falcon Prevent and Device Control modules enabled with the ability to test additional modules at no cost through the CrowdStrike® Store while in a trial.

Cybersecurity Checklist:
- Understand Your Environment: Take stock of your environment to understand the various devices and systems you have in place and where your valuable data resides.
- Train Employees: Employees are a company’s best asset but, often, the weakest link in protecting against cyber threats. The human element (e.g., falling for phishing, clicking on a link or simple human error) continues to drive security incidents, contributing to 82% of breaches in 2022.
- Implement Security Defenses: Security technologies will give you a great defense to safeguard against the many attack vectors bad actors use. While the right tools can become highly customized depending on your specific environment
- Maintain Good IT Security Hygiene: Backup data and prepare a response plan!
- Prepare a Response Plan: In the event of a successful attack, having a plan in place will help you act quickly and efficiently to involve the right people, take the necessary actions and mitigate the damage.
Free antivirus vs paid antivirus software
Free antivirus software often has no protection from unknown or yet-known threats. It relies on a reactive security model. Free software also has limited support and remediation.
